Vancouver, BC -- September 1, 2005. El Nino Ventures Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Company has met the requirements to be listed as a TSX Venture Tier 2 Company. Therefore, effective September 1, 2005, the Company's listing will transfer from NEX to TSX Venture, the Company's Tier classification will change from NEX to Tier 2 and the Filing and Service Office will change from NEX to Vancouver.
Effective at the opening, September 1, 2005, the trading symbol for the Company will change from ELN.H to ELN.
$50,000 Non-Brokered Private Placement Closed
Further to its news release of July 12, 2005, the Company has now completed a non-brokered private placement of 166,667 flow-through units at a price of $0.30 per unit for gross proceeds of $50,000. Each unit consisted of one flow-through common share and one half of one non-transferable non-flow-through share purchase warrant with each whole warrant entitling the holder thereof to purchase one additional common share for a period of twelve months at a price of $0.35 per warrant share. All securities issued with respect to this private placement are subject to a hold period expiring on December 13, 2005.
The proceeds of the private placement will be used for exploration on the Company's projects.
A finder's fee of $1,400 has been paid.
